Marrakech

The red city that never sits still — souks, palaces, gardens, and the great square that comes alive at night.

In this place

Marrakech is the city most travelers meet first, and it doesn’t ease you in — the medina is a beautiful overwhelm of souks, dyers, metalworkers, and spice pyramids, all circling the great open square of Jemaa el-Fna.

But the city has quiet corners too: the Majorelle Garden, the calm courtyards of riads, the palatial Bahia Palace. Most of our Marrakech experiences start here — and many end here too, watching the sun set over the Koutoubia.

Ways to experience it

Good to know

  • Most international flights land at Marrakech Menara (RAK) — an arrival transfer smooths the landing
  • The medina is best in the cooler months; summer afternoons are for riad courtyards and pools
  • Marrakech pairs well with everything — desert, coast, mountains are all day-trip distance
